Library Director Position

 

The Havana Public Library District is seeking applicants for the position of Library Director. We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused person with a desire to promote the Library and foster positive community relations. The preferred candidate will have strong communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a master’s degree in library science and considerable experience as a librarian and as an administrator; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities is preferred. Familiarity with local, state and federal library laws, financial management and administrative education is desirable.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits package includes; participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF); vacation and sick time. This is a full-time, salaried position.
